Day - 1 : NJP - Phuentsholing
Arrive NJP and transfer to Phuntsholing and over night at Phuntsholing Border town of BHUTAN.
Day - 2 : Phuentsholing - Thimphu
After processing permit, starts the journey towards THIMPHU, the capital town of Bhutan and the centre of government, religion and commerce. It is a unique city with unusual mixture of modern development alongside ancient traditions. Explore Thimphu to appreciate the Buddhist culture, Ethnic architecture of the Dzong and palaces, Traditional and the lifestyle of the Drukpas in this peaceful Himalayan Kingdom and over night at Thimphu.
Day - 3 : Thimphu Sight seeing - Paro
1.Visit Memorial Chorten built in 1974 to honour memory of Late King JigmeDorjiWangchuk, popularly known as the Father of Modern Bhutan. A multi-storied stupa that will introduce you to the vitality of Tantric Buddhism. 2.Visit Chang Gankha Monastery (one of the oldest monastery in the valley) 3.Visit National Zoo where one can see Yak and Takin, the National wild animal of Bhutan and drive up to view point and take a hike beyond to see the clear picture of Thimphu Valley. 4.Visit National Library (collection of holly scripts) 5.Buddha Point. 6.Visit Arts and crafts school where one can see young children at work ( also known as the painting school ) , Visit Traditional Medicine Institute where the ancient healing arts are still practiced. 7.Observe traditional paper making from Daphnia and Edgeworthia shrub to the finished product and purchase some beautiful writing sets from the factory. 8.Downtown Thimphu on foot visiting Handicrafts Emporium and other Arts & Crafts stores. Buy stunning kiras which can be used as bed covers or wall decoration, jewelleries and many more. And after these drive to Paro check in hotel and free over night at Paro hotel
Day - 4 : Paro Sight Seeing
In the Morning after breakfast visit to Ta Dzong a circular fortress that once protected this valley from the Tibetan invasion. It is now National Museum with an excellent collection of Bhutanese antiquities. Then will take a short drive to the paroRinpungDzong which was built and consecrated in 1646 by ZhabdrungNgawangNamgyal. This Dzong is also the administrative seat of district of Paro and it also contains a state monastic community of about 200 members. Afternoon will drive up to visit DrugyelDzong which is located upstream to the end of the paved road. And the way back from DrugyelDzong visit `Tigers Nest `base camp & kichu monastery. The evening ends with a walk through the Paro`s main shopping district. The local shops sell a verity of goods- groceries, textiles as well as prayer flags. Over night Paro.
Day - 5 : Paro - Phuentsholing - NJP
In the morning after breakfast drive down to Phuentsholing. Drop to NJP ( 8 Hrs Drive ) and tour end for the day.
Day - 6 : NJP - Guwahati - Shillong
Meet and greet on arrival and then you can transfer to Shillong (Meghalaya), enroute visit Umiam Lake. If time permits visit Wards Lake, Shillong Cathedral, and other local Sightseeing. Evening check in hotel and free for leisure. Night stay at Shillong.
Day - 7 : Shillong - Mawlynnong - Dawki
Today after breakfast check out and drive to Mawlynnong the cleanest village in Asia. Enroute you can visit Shillong Peak and Elephant Falls. Later drive to visit Mawlynnong village and Dawki. You can also visit Single Decker Root Bridge in Riwai Village and Balancing Rock in Mawlynnong. On the way to Dawki you can enjoy boating (on direct payment basis / Rs. 500/- per boat) in Umangot River (known as Tamabil in Bangladesh). Later drive to Shillong and night stay at Shillong.
Day - 8 : Shillong - Cherrapunjee for a day trip
Today after breakfast you can drive to Cherrapunjee Where you can explore the double decker root bridge (The trek to the Double decker root bridge is one journey which is hard to forget). Later in the evening, back to Shillong. Night stay at Shillong.
Day - 9 : Shillong - Laitlum - Kaziranga
Morning after breakfast you can choose to visit Laitlum Valley ( Meghalaya's Natural wonder) and then proceed to Kaziranga. After arrival free yourself to explore. Night stay at Kaziranga.
Day - 10 : Kaziranga - Guwahati
Early morning wake up call for safari on Elephant back. Post breakfast check out & Jeep safari inside Kaziranga National Park (central/western Range). After lunch visit Orchid Museum/ Later transfer to Guwahati & night stay at Guwahati.
Day - 11 : Guwahati Airport Drop
Today after breakfast check out from hotel and if time permits visit Balaji Temple. Later drop at Guwahati Airport/Railway Station for your onward destination. Tour ends with everlasting memories...!!!
