Day - 1

Pick up from Guwahati Airport / Railway Station and drive to Shillong. O/n at Shillong in a hotel.

Day - 2

Relax at the hotel in the morning. Later in the day if you wish you can visit Laitumkhra which has a couple of good eating places and shops from where you can buy local handicrafts. O/n at Shillong.

Day - 3

Today you can choose to visit Mawlynnong, the cleanest village in Asia. Mawlynnong is a tiny village on the Indo - Bangla border which has earned the distinction of being the cleanest village in Asia. Villagers have transformed this village into a picture postcard by planting many flowering plants alongside the footpaths and around their houses. Every villager participates in voluntarily cleaning up the village on a daily basis.

The village is a two hour drive from Shillong (one way), albeit through a scenic road. O/n at Shillong.

Day - 4

After breakfast drive to Cherrapunjee. If you are interested for a short trek (about an hour) then you can walk to one of the many root bridges in the area. In Cherrapunjee you will also visit the Nohkalikai falls and Mawsmai caves. O/n at Cherrapunjee.

Day - 5

Morning free yourself to explore at Cherrapunjee. After lunch drive to Umiam. O/n at Umiam at a resort.

Day - 6

Relax at resort or take a stroll around the lake. O/n at Umiam.
