Day - 1

Pick up from Guwahati Airport / Railway Station and drive to Shillong. O/n at Shillong in a hotel.

Day - 2

Full day sightseeing around Shillong; visit the local market, go to Shillong peak and Elephant falls. If you are interested in museums then a visit the Don Bosco museum of culture is highly recommended. O/n at Shillong.

Day - 3

Drive to Mawlynnong village , the cleanest village in Asia. This village on the Indo Bangla border is a beautiful and picturesque village and well worth visiting. Drive back to Shillong. O/n at Shillong.

Day - 4

After breakfast drive to Cherrapunjee. On the way visit Nohkalikai falls and Rama Krishna mission museum. O/n at Cherrapunjee.

Day - 5

You can walk on the road or just relax around the Resort. O/n at Cherrapunjee.

Day - 6

After enjoying a relaxing morning leave for Guwahati. O/n at Pobitora.

Day - 7

Morning elephant Safari inside Pobitora National Park. After breakfast drive to Kaziranga. Overnight at Kaziranga.

Day - 8

After an early breakfast leave for a jeep safari to the Central Range of the park. In the afternoon head out for a second jeep safari in the Western range where you will see Hog Deers, Sambhars and Rhinos feeding in the plentiful. O/n at Kaziranga.

Day - 9

Wake up really early in the morning for an exciting safari on elephant back, which would get you really up close to the Rhinos. After breakfast leave for Neemati Ghat from where you will have to take a one hour ferry over the Brahmaputra to reach Majuli. O/n at Bamboo cottages in Majuli.

Day - 10

Majuli, one of the largest river island in the world is a storehouse of art and culture. The name is a conjunction of Ma which denotes Laxmi (the godess of prosperity) and Juli meaning granary. The island has been the hub of Neo-Vaishnavite culture since the 15th century, having been initiated by the revered Assamese saint Sankardeva. This new creed of faith started by Srimanta Sankardeva preached devotion to a single God, Lord Krishna or Vishnu, (Eka Sarana). The hallmark of the Neo-Vaishnavite movement is reflected in two distinctively unique institutions, viz., the Satra and the Nāmghar, both of which are intimately associated with the social, cultural as well as religious life of the Assamese society.

Besides culture, Majuli is also a hotspot for birders with many migratory birds favoring its wetland ecosystem. Many species like the Spot Billed Pelican, Greater and Lesser Adjutant Stork, Open Billed Stork, Purple Heron, Whistling Teal, Rudy Shell Duck can be seen in the plentiful.

In the morning visit some of the Satras to understand the Vaishnavite way of life. From here proceed to the mask making and pottery village , marveling the craftsmanship of the villagers. O/n at Majuli

Day - 11

After breakfast take a ferry back to Nimati Ghat. But since the ferry would now go against the current it would take around 2 hours. From the ghat a further 3 hour drive would get you to Dibrugarh the tea capital of India . O/n at Tanay Homestay

Day - 12

Drop to Dibrugarh airport. Tour Ends.
